A highly motivated and hardworking individual, who is currently working as an Assistant Garment Technologist at A.M London and has achieved a First Class Honours in BA(Hons) International Fashion Design Practice at the Manchester Metropolitan University.

From my industry experience as well as my degree I have grown and developed key skills within garment technology, product development, as well as maintaining critical paths and supplier relations through communication. Throughout this time I have gained strong interests within garment technology and product development as well as looking for ethical and sustainable solutions for issues that face the industry currently.

Assistant Garment Technologist, A.M London, Manchester

(February 2022- Present)

Within my role here I worked on multiproduct womenswear categories to ensure samples are fitted in a timely manner and ensuring fit comments and other relevant communication is sent out to suppliers. I also assist with checking test reports from suppliers and ensuring that suppliers are being compliant with our standards. Another big part of my role is to create specs from existing blocks as well as from just tech packs from the designers and then measuring the garments to ensure they are correct to the spec.

Senior Quality Controller, Nadine Merabi, Manchester

(November 2021- February 2022)

From being promoted, I managed the team of Quality Controllers to fulfil the QC process within the company. I tracked stock and shipments inbound from suppliers as well as reviewing stock levels and adding stock to the warehouse management system. I also looked at bulk stock and evaluated this for any faults and ensured that garments measured to the size specs provided. I would also be in communication with suppliers with this and would send weekly communications to the wider team.

(August 2019- August 2020)

Within this placement year I worked under Own Label Nightwear, Womenswear Brands (multi-product categories), as well as Branded Lingerie, Swimwear, and Nightwear. In my role, I would be in contact with brands as well as suppliers on a daily basis. I would also work to a critical path and attend fit meetings and send fit comments, size specifications and technical packs out to suppliers through a PLM system. I also spent time with the Digital Fit team where I developed my pattern cutting skills and also received basic training on Optitex and Browzwear.

Fabric Research and Development Intern, Mary Katrantzou, London

(June 2018 – September 2018)

During my time here, I organised fabric samples and updated spreadsheets to help the back office run smoothly. I also went to fabric fairs and contacted fabric suppliers for information on their fabrics. I also helped with fittings with the Creative Director and head designer. As well as this I spent some time with the production team and visited a factory in the UK. I also went on two trips to India to hand embroidery over to the factories. I also helped complete two garments for London Fashion Week.
